There is a memory, like the fire of human civilization, can never be extinguished. On September 2, 1945, the Japanese government formally signed the surrender of arms, marking the final victory of the Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japan and the world anti-fascist war. In commemoration of this great victory, on February 27, 2014, the Seventh Session of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People’s Congress passed a decision that formally determined September 3 each year as the anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in the form of national legislation.
