我国对土工织物的研究和应用起步较晚,自80年代初开始,用于防治铁路、公路路基翻浆病害,处理软土地基均取得了满意的效果;水利部门在堤坝防渗、护坡方面也取得宝贵经验。目前,我国已有遍及交通、水利、城建、港工和国防等各个领域的近百项工程以排水、反滤、隔离、加固和防护等不同的目的应用了土工织物(但用来加固房屋地基的却不多见)。
