Kyoto陶瓷公司研制了新的陶瓷发动机。该公司以道依茨公司风冷直列三缸柴油机F3L912作为基础发动机进行改造,将气缸、活塞、摇杆等零件改为陶瓷材料。该发动机缸径与冲程为100×120毫米,总排量2827毫米~3。输出功率根据用途而定,从32马力DIN(1500转/分,用于发电机)至58马力DIN(2500转/分,用于汽车)。原型机用轴流式风扇强强制风冷,陶瓷变型机取消了强制风冷,因此,虽未透露发动机的性能数据,但可知其重量轻而热效率高。 Kyoto Ceramics has developed a new ceramic engine.
