After the tool is installed on the machine and everything is ready for machining, you can see the chips falling from the workpiece as you drive, eat and walk. However, the formation of “chip ” is often overlooked. At first glance it may seem simple, but it is not. In the past some people used to split wood like an ax instead of splitting the metal because of the wedges. After practice, analysis, observation, until the 19th century proved that the above statement is wrong. So, what exactly is “cuttings”? In order to understand this problem, let us first give a common example of life. If a helical spring is placed on the table, when it is pressed by a finger, it will see its height will be shortened, and as soon as the finger leaves the spring, the spring will regain its original height
