桂西北是多种少数民族共同居住的地方,在这里主要居住着壮族、瑶族、仫佬族、毛南族、水族、苗族、侗族,由于当地有众多的少数民族,那么就不乏多元化的人文风俗,各个民族文化的融合让这里的文化环境更加的精彩,可以说这里就是中国民族文化的孕育厂。近几年来,桂西北少数民族的音乐舞蹈作品,在全国都获得了很多的奖项,为桂西北地区争取了不少的荣誉,因此,在桂西北地区的很多院校都把当地的民间舞蹈资源引入到舞蹈剧目的教学当中,让学生能够在学习舞蹈的同时也继承了当地文化风俗和非物质文化遗产,从而形成一种独特的教学模式。
