闽北区浦城临江方言里全浊平、上、去声的表现与其他闽语大同小异。它有关古全浊入声的表现则与众不同,今读塞音和塞擦音时一律读作送气清音。本文研究了这个现象的来历。早期临江方言受到浦城吴语的强烈影响,首先发生了以*阳入为条件不送气清音和送气清音的浊化。然后,这些后起的浊塞音、塞擦音和原来的浊塞音、塞擦音一起发生清化,变成了送气清音。
