清中叶金石文物大量出土,内府百官、文人学士不惜重金纷纷购藏,大臣名士品味玩赏之余,研究考证、排比辨异、立言著述。齐侯壶于乾嘉年间出土,又称齐侯罍、洹子孟姜壶。壶有一对,器形、铭文、纹饰相仿。起初分别由阮元、曹载奎收藏,后同归吴云所有。吴云因得此二器而取其斋名日“两罍轩”。现两器分别收藏于上海博物馆和国家博物馆。两器铭文互有错脱,字数不同,引起各时期金石学家们的兴趣,经过了很多学者的考释。本人因见到两器及铭文的拓片,故进行梳理而略述之。
