青浦县第十届人民代表大会第三次会议通过了关于在全县开展捐资助学活动的决议。今后4年内可望筹集2千万元,全部用予改善办学条件。这项议案是由青浦县人民政府向人代会提出的。分管教育工作的副县长沈善良向大会主席团汇报了提出此项议案的案由。大会主席团经讨论后决定,将这一议案列入大会议程,提交全体代表审议。据了解,青浦县原有教育设施比较差,陈旧校舍改造任务尚未完成,农村小学设点布局也不尽合理。1994年,初中入学将进入最高峰,预计净增初中生5千余名,共缺教室142大间;教学设备配置若按最低标准计算,需要资金3700多万元。

In 1994, junior high school enrollment will reach the highest peak, and it is expected that there will be more than 5,000 junior high school students and a total of 142 large classrooms. If the teaching equipment configuration is calculated according to the minimum standard, more than 37 million yuan will be required.
