本文介绍了RDF标准的基本概念、发展演化、核心内容及其在元数据描述中应用的4个领域:DC、Marc、OWL和RSS。通过研究应用的对比给出了结论:RDF具有易控制性、包容性、机器间互操作性、易综合性的优点。但是RDF在日常应用有些复杂,设计者不仅需要定义对象和属性,而且需要定义复杂的陈述。而互联网上的元数据描述需要更为简单而且可靠的解决方案。
This article introduces the basic concepts of the RDF standard, its evolution, its core content, and its four areas of application in metadata description: DC, Marc, OWL, and RSS. Through the comparison of research applications, it is concluded that RDF has the advantages of easy controllability, inclusiveness, interoperability between machines and easy integration. However, RDF is somewhat complicated in everyday applications. Designers not only need to define objects and attributes, but also need to define complex statements. Metadata descriptions on the Internet require simpler and more reliable solutions.
