今年10月1日,是中华人民共和国成立46周年,也是新疆维吾尔自治区成立40周年。40年来,新疆各族人民在党中央和国务院的亲切关怀和领导下,紧密团结,共同努力,使自治区社会主义建设事业取得了辉煌成就。党的十一届三中全会以来,全区经济发展,政治稳定,民族团结,社会进步,各族人民的生活进一步改善。回顾40年来走过的道路,我们心情十分激动,全区1600多万各族人民备受鼓舞,决心在以江泽民同志为核心的党中央领导下,在建设有中国特色社会主义理论指引
October 1 this year, is the 46th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China, but also the 40th anniversary of the founding of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. For 40 years, under the cordial care and leadership of the Central Party Committee and the State Council, people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang have worked closely together to make joint efforts so that the cause of socialist construction in the autonomous region has achieved brilliant achievements. Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the economic development, political stability, ethnic unity and social progress in the region have been further improved, and the life of people of all ethnic groups has been further improved. Looking back on the road we have seen in 40 years, we are very much in the mood of excitement. The 16 million people of all ethnic groups in the region are greatly encouraged and are determined to guide the theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the party Central Committee with Comrade Jiang Zemin at the core
