曾国林是莆田市城厢区常太镇外东坪村人,外东坪村位于常太镇海拔600多米的山中,距离常太镇镇中心20多公里。村里有一所希望小学,是附近村庄学龄儿童接受小学教育的唯一学校。1987年,刚从师范学校毕业的曾国林深知大山里的孩子对知识的渴望,于是义无返顾地回到家乡执教,第一年就被任命为校长。为了让外地教师能够留下来,曾国林千方百计地为他们创造条件。有教师报怨回学校的
Zeng Guolin is Changping Town, Putian City, Chang Dongping Village, outside Dongping Village is located in Chang Taizhen more than 600 meters above sea level in the mountains, from Chang Taizhen town center more than 20 kilometers. The village has a Hope Primary School, the only school where elementary school children of school-age children in nearby villages receive primary education. In 1987, just after graduating from normal school, Zeng Guolin knew that the children in the mountains were hungry for knowledge.
