Previously reported acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is found in healthy gay men, intravenous drug addicts, hemophiliacs, Haitians and women who have sex with AIDS patients. The incidence of the disease and increased involvement of the population, suggesting that there is a sexual intercourse, blood or blood products transmitted substances. It has recently been reported that there is a cellular immunodeficiency disorder similar to adult AIDS among children, a minority of whom are Haitians. Most mothers have known risk factors for AIDS morbidity, namely intravenous drug addiction, sexual promiscuity, or having sex with AIDS . Ammann et al. Reported that one infant infused multiple blood transfusions, one of which was injected into one adult’s platelet after AIDS and subsequently developed cellular immunodeficiency and opportunistic infections. This article reports 14 clinical and laboratory-acquired features of AIDS found in a downtown Miami area from November 1980 to June 1983
