由于具有独特且无法被取代的醇厚而又芬芳的风味,使得百里香自中世纪起就是西方重要的烹饪调料之一。特别是在南欧和地中海的饮食中,各种腌制、烤、炸、炖中都常会使用到百里香。它不仅适宜与各类肉食搭配,与各种蔬菜,如菠菜、茄子、土豆、胡萝卜等都很百搭。
Due to its unique and irreplaceable, mellow and fragrant flavor, thyme has been one of Western’s most important culinary ingredients since the Middle Ages.
