中国四大古典名著,除了一部《红楼梦》,其余三部当中,女性角色至多只能算是一种陪衬——甚至是一种反衬。与《红楼梦》中那一个个有血有肉、个性鲜明、活色生香、清丽可人的“水做的”女子相比,《三国演义》中本就为数寥寥的女性形象明显过于扁平化,近乎千人一面;而《西游记》中形形色色的妖女、《水浒传》中大大小小的淫妇,简直就是对女性的一种扭曲、丑化乃至玷辱。每想到这个问题,总会有这样一个疑问萦绕脑际:《西游记》
Among the four classic Chinese classics, except a “Dream of Red Mansions”, among the remaining three, the role of a female can at best be regarded as a foil - or even a contrast. Compared with the “Made by Water” woman in The Dream of Red Mansions, one of the few women in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, apparently flesh-and-blood, distinctive, vivid and beautiful, Nearly a thousand people side; and “Journey to the West” in all kinds of demon girl, “Water Margin” in large and small adulteress, is simply a distortion of women, vilification and even dishonor. Every time I think of this question, there will always be such a question lingering in my mind: “Journey to the West”
