Texas Instruments has introduced the industry’s first low dropout (LDO) voltage regulators and supervisor families, the TPS73HD301, HD318 and HD325, to support the dual supply voltage requirements of low-power digital signal processors (DSPS). The device is a 28-pin integrated package that can be trimmed by 3.3V on one chip and another at a fixed or programmable voltage (1.8V or 2.5V) to reduce the chip count by three chips in a single chip design. DSPS more complex core applications slow down more core needles. In addition, these devices also make the linear regulator power supply design easier and at a lower cost.
