We have previously investigated trifurfuryl alcohol complexes of tungsten (VI) extracted with a series of organic solvents in the presence of fatty alcohols such as propanol and heptanol. The molar absorption coefficients of tungsten aqueous fluoridone extract and tungsten phenylfluorone extract were both 10-5. Therefore, the determination of trace tungsten for sensitive extraction spectrophotometry can be used in a new analytical form.
