Objective: To study the relationship between adiponectin level and fetal weight in maternal blood and umbilical cord blood. Methods: A total of 102 cases of full-life single live fetus without maternal complications and complications were selected. According to newborn birth weight divided into 3 groups: <3000g group, 3000 ~ 3999g group and ≥ 4000g group. Analysis and comparison of clinical indicators and maternal blood, cord blood adiponectin levels in each group. Results: The concentration of adiponectin in cord blood was 2.90 times higher than that of maternal blood. There was no correlation between cord blood and maternal blood adiponectin (r = 0.132, P = 0.199). There was no significant difference in serum adiponectin between the three groups (P = 0.074). There was a significant difference in the concentration of adiponectin between two groups (P = 0.011) Correlation (r = 0.015, P = 0.883). Cord blood concentration was correlated with newborn birth weight (r = 0.263, P = 0.008). There was no significant difference in maternal blood adiponectin levels between neonates with different genders (P> 0.05). The concentration of maternal blood adiponectin was positively correlated with gestational age of pregnant women (r = 0.201, P = 0.045). The concentration of umbilical blood adiponectin was positively correlated with the body mass index of pregnant women before pregnancy (r = 0.227, P = 0.026) Superoxide concentration was higher in males (P = 0.020). Conclusion: The concentration of maternal blood and umbilical blood adiponectin have no significant correlation. Cord blood adiponectin may be involved in the regulation of fetal weight.
