美国加州大学的郝伯格教授研究发现,进入中年期的男性多产生一种与更年期病症不完全相同的综合征。其主要特征是,在性格和心理上发生突变,且感到焦躁不安,郁郁寡欢,而自己又矢口否认有任何病,郝伯格教授把这种病症称为“灰色”心理病。“灰色”心理病的发生,多起因于生理和心理两方面。生理上,人从童年、少年、青年而到壮年,一直是在成长中度过的,有一种永无止境的感觉。但进入中年,这种成长就逐渐地由缓慢而停止,甚至开始出现衰退,即使身体没有什么大的毛病,也有力不从心、无可奈可花落去之
