阅读是最为重要的人类文明活动之一。从整体看,阅读贯穿人类文明的始终;从个体看,阅读贯穿每个读书人生命的始终。人之所以为人,阅读能力和阅读活动无疑是其至关重要的本质特征。缘此,对于阅读这一社会现象,我虽然也算熟识,且略有浅见,却始终充满着敬畏之心,不敢轻率置喙,尽管身为图书馆从业者,又供职公共图书馆,宣传和推广阅读属于在其位谋其政的本职工作。于今,中国阅读学研究会会长徐雁教授领衔,带领其门生同道组成的编撰团队,编写出《全民阅读推广手册》,由深圳海天出版社出版,实现业界夙愿,嘉惠天下士林,其善也大焉,其功也高焉。
