语言是文化的载体,词汇作为语言的基本元素受到文化思维差异、民族风俗习惯、生活环境等因素的影响和制约。因此,学习者如果仅仅注重对英语词汇字面意义的记忆,而忽视与词汇相关的语境和英汉两种语言的文化差异,就会导致词汇的误译,甚至语言整体运用能力的僵化。本文以英汉民族之间语言习惯、意象联想及思维概念三方面的差异为切入点,对汉译英词汇误译现象进行深入的分析和研究,并提出相应的翻译方法。
Language is the carrier of culture. Vocabulary as the basic element of language is influenced and restricted by the differences of cultural thinking, ethnic customs, living environment and other factors. Therefore, if learners only pay attention to the memory of the literal meaning of English words while neglecting the contexts related to words and the cultural differences between English and Chinese, learners may mistakenly translate words or even rigidly use the language as a whole. Based on the differences of language habit, imagery association and thinking concept between English and Chinese, this paper analyzes and studies the mistranslation of Chinese-English transliteration and puts forward corresponding translation methods.
