近年以来,戏剧界思想活跃,舞台上异彩纷呈,出现一片热闹景象,特别去年如此,令人欣喜。在艺术上,思想活跃是好的,它能激发想象力和创造性,把戏剧推上一重新的天地。这种景象,是多年少有的,是难得的。今年怎么样?我们自然不能满足停留在去年的水平上,必须向前发展。如何发展? 去年评论界也比较活跃,争论多起来了。这些争论中有些是很有意思的,提出的问题值得注意,发人深思。现在不提戏剧为政治服务了,不去图解政策了,是否就意味着戏剧可以脱离政治,可以不再关心和深入群众生活,而去发挥纯属艺术家个人的主观感情或情绪,或名之曰发扬个性呢?过去只谈思想而不说艺术是错误的,是否今后又可以不关心思想只谈艺术或只钻研艺术手法和形式呢?
