Zhang Dun’s article in “Jianghai Journal” (91.3) argues that the “historicism” method is especially prevalent in modern philosophy. Its thesis is that philosophy should not be concerned with the static structure of the research object but with the process (changes in time and Development), all phenomena can only be truly understood as historical phenomena. It regards temporality as the essence of human understanding. There is a danger that the trend of historicism flooding today will tend to become a general way of thinking. In our opinion, the fundamental problem of explaining the world is to predict what may happen. To be able to survive and develop in this world, we must know in advance whether those things that may happen are good or bad for ourselves. Although the actual extent of human interpretation of the world is complex and diverse, what philosophy is concerned with is merely how to account for the connection between facts (especially the causal link). each
