费孝通教授去世2年了,但我还是时时想起他。费孝通教授是我们1984年南开大学社会学研究生班的导师。我们班37个人,是社会学重建后第二个研究生班。我们第一次见到费老是1984年10月17日上午。那天是南开大学65周年校庆,我们没去参加校庆大会,而是在主楼的教室里等从北京赶来参加校庆的费老。费老参加完学校的校庆大会,于上午10点半来到主楼和我们见面。费老坐下后,就和我们谈起了中国社会学的恢复和重建过程,讲他如何采取“愿者上钩”的钓鱼方式从其他学科中招兵买马培养人才。
Professor Fei Xiaotong passed away for 2 years, but I still think of him from time to time. Professor Fei Xiaotong is a mentor to our 1984 Nankai Graduate School of Sociology. Our class of 37 people is the second graduate school after the reconstruction of sociology. The first time we saw Fei was on the morning of October 17, 1984. That day was the 65th anniversary celebration of Nankai University. We did not go to the celebration ceremony, but instead flew from Beijing to attend the celebration in the classrooms of the main building. Fei Lao attended the school’s celebration ceremony, at 10:30 am came to the main building to meet with us. When Felau sat down, he talked to us about the process of restoration and reconstruction of Chinese sociology and how he adopted “hunger-gatherer” fishing to recruit more troops from other disciplines.
