莆仙戏是福建的一个古老地方戏曲剧种,流行于莆田、仙游等兴化语系地区。它源子宋、元,形成于明初,是在民间百戏、杂剧的基础上,吸收宋元南戏、杂剧和明传奇的艺术营养,逐步揉合、融化而形成的。因莆、仙宋时隶属兴化军,明代属兴化府,故称兴化戏,解放后始定名莆仙戏。 Puxian opera is an ancient opera in Fujian opera, popular in Putian, Xianyou Xinghua language and other areas.
