秦谷5号是陕西省榆树地区农科所于1974年用黄沙谷作母本,黄谷1号作父本杂交,1982年育成,原品系为7427-1-1绿。1987年元月经陕西省农作物品种审定委员会审定通过,定名为秦谷5号。增产效果 1982~1985年参加陕西省榆林地区谷子区域试验,共26个试点,18点增产,其中1982年区试分水、旱地两组4点,供试品种8个。水地两点区试秦谷5号平均亩产408.8公斤,居第一位,较对照榆谷1号增产8.64%;旱地两点区试,平均亩产292公斤,居第一位,较对照榆谷1号增产3.8%。经变量
