龙祠泉位于临汾城西南十多公里处的龙祠村西侧,该点属第四纪坡积物地带,西邻吕梁山脉,罗云山断层从此通过.该泉以群泉形式出露,常年温度17°土,水源以其泉西北大面积区域内降雨补给.临汾台设有1~#、2~#两个测水点,均为自流井,氡含量为8~9埃曼,使用FD—105仪器进行观测.临汾台自1971年设立水氡观测以来,资料连续性较好,而自74年以来由于观测人员稳定、取样时间固定,资料可信度大大提高.选用1~#井74年至今的观测资料,以水氡月均值为纵坐标,月份为横坐标作图(见图1).由图看出,多年来水氡变化具相同的变化形态,呈明显的正弦特征.1~3月份为高值段,尔后下降;7~9月份为低值段,尔后又上升.可见龙祠泉水氡具有明显的年变化形态.
