The experimental results of Ga As photoconductive switches triggered by ns and fs ultra-fast pulsed lasers are reported.The Ga As photoconductive switches with 3mm gap are triggered by ns light pulses of μJ order, and the linear and non-linear operating modes are observed with a peak current of 560 A. When the same device is triggered with a fs laser pulse repetition rate of 76 MHz, the current pulse rise time is less than 200 ps
