蔡和森是新民学会的主要创始人,亦是中共早期杰出的革命家、马克思主义理论家和宣传家,在中共建党思想和宣传马列主义等方面作出了贡献。对于这位为中国革命事业作出贡献的共产党人,他的早期革命挚友毛泽东评价道:“一个共产党员应该做的和森同志都做到了。”[1]周恩来也曾说:“和森同志是永远值得我们怀念的”。[2]邓小平在纪念蔡和森诞辰八十五周年时为其题词:“蔡和森同志是我党早期的卓越领导人之一,他对中国革命作出了重大的贡献,
Cai Hesen, the chief founder of the Xinmin Society and an early prominent revolutionary, Marxist theorist and advocate of the CPC, contributed to the party’s thinking on party building and propaganda of Marxism-Leninism. Mao Zedong, his early revolutionary friend, commented to this communist who contributed to the cause of the Chinese revolution: ”What Communists should do with Sen.“ [1] Zhou Enlai once said: Comrade Sen is always worthy of our memory. ” [2] In his memorial of Tsai Hsueshen’s 85th birthday, Deng Xiaoping wrote his inscription: "Comrade Cai Hessen was one of our early leaders of excellence and made a significant contribution to the Chinese revolution.
