TRAP (telomeric repeat amplificationprotocal) method was used to detect telomerase activity in 29 first-astrocytoma and 11 recurrent astrocytomas. 1Materials and Methods 40 specimens of astrocytoma were selected from tumors that were completely cut under the naked eye for the first time. All of them were confirmed by pathological examination.
