作为人文学科的重要课程之一,英美文学在高职英语专业教学中有着举足轻重的作用。但在推崇“面向社会掌握实用技能”的高职院校教学氛围中,英美文学课面临着被边缘化甚至被抛弃的窘境。充分提高英美文学课的教学质量以发挥其在培养高职学生人文素养方面的作用,显得尤为重要。在此从“以学生为主体”的角度提出关于提高英美文学课教学质量的一点拙见,以期能为改善高职院校英美文学课教学的现状提供一些方法及建议。
As one of the important courses in the humanities, Anglo-American literature plays a decisive role in teaching English in higher vocational colleges. However, in respects of the teaching atmosphere of higher vocational colleges that hold practical skills for the society, English and American literature classes are faced with the dilemma of being marginalized and even abandoned. It is very important to improve the teaching quality of English and American literature class sufficiently to give play to its role in cultivating humanistic accomplishments of vocational students. Here we put forward a little humble opinion on how to improve the teaching quality of Anglo-American literature from the perspective of “students as the main body ”, in the hope of providing some methods and suggestions for improving the status quo of Anglo-American literary teaching in higher vocational colleges.
