白鹿镇地处星子县城北郊,背倚庐山,面临鄱阳湖,因境内有全国四大书院之首的“白鹿洞书院”而得名。总面积108平方公里,其中属庐山旅游生态林保护面积40平方公里、鄱阳湖水域面积27平方公里、星子县城城区6平方公里。辖10个行政村和1个生态林管理所,157个村小组,27837人。现有耕地面积13894亩,山林面积9万亩,森林覆盖率达68%。境内
