The 12th International Conference on Soil and Water Conservation, which is hailed as the “Olympic” for the international community of soil and water conservation, will be held in Beijing from May 26 to May 31 this year. Nearly 800 water and soil conservation experts and scholars from all countries in the world will attend the event. Three small watersheds, namely Walnut Valley, Hongjunzhuang and Shixian in our city, were identified by the Ministry of Water Resources as technical inspection points for the International Conference on Soil and Water Conservation.
