政府类出版物由于其本身的内容及所具有的功能十分重要,历来为各国政府、新闻出版管理部门和出版界所重视。从内容上大致可分为三类,包括行政性资料、科学技术规范和其他依靠政府资源而发行的出版物,其出版形式多种多样。做好政府类出版物选题策划,需要遵循以下几个原则:及时获取政府信息资源;在运作过程中始终全程贯彻策划意识;重视政府类出版物社会效益;多角度专业论证定位选题;强化政府类出版物品牌意识。政府类出版物是优质出版资源。无论是从经济效益来评估,还是从社会效益来考量,政府类出版物都是出版社应该重视并深度挖掘的对象。
