我省的地方志编纂工作,起步较晚。1984年3月,省委、省政府决定成立广东省地方志编纂委员会,着手进行新方志的编纂工作。此后,我省各级志书的编纂工作即在各地陆续开展起来,到现在已经将近10年。 今天,我们召开全省修志工作会议,总结近10年来的工作,表彰先进,部署下一阶段的工作,是十分必要的。在这里,首先让我代表省地方志编委会和办公室,对全省修志干部的辛勤劳动,表示衷心的感谢;对这次会议表彰的先进单位和先进个人,表示热烈的祝贺。
Local chronicles compiled in our province, started late. In 1984 March, the provincial party committee and government decided to set up Guangdong Provincial Local Records Compilation Committee, proceed to the compilation of new local records. Since then, the province at all levels of compilation of Zhi book that is gradually carried out in all parts of the country, up to now for nearly 10 years. Today, it is absolutely necessary for us to hold a working meeting of the province’s Chi Chi to summarize the work done in the past 10 years, commend advanced work and deploy the next stage of work. Here, let me first, on behalf of the editorial board and office of the provincial and local governments, express my heart-felt thanks for the hard work of the provincial revisionist cadres; warmly congratulate the advanced units and individuals who have honored this meeting.
