近年来,珠江三角洲地区在农村工业化的进程中,快步改革,大力开放,高招迭出,创造了发展的奇迹。其中,“四小虎”之一的东莞市更是气势逼人,短短几年,虎门滩上耸立起一座规模化、集团化的工业城,各个乡镇涌现了众多大大小小的工业区,从农民到工人,从农业到工业,从农村到城市,东莞似乎在一夜之间完成了这一历史性的飞跃.那么,是什么促使其产生如此巨变?东莞选择的是一条怎样的道路?农村工业化最终又将以何种形式呈现于世人面前呢?带着这些问题,记者走访了全国人大代表、东莞市市长叶耀先生。 记者:据了解,去年东莞市完成的工业总产值达181亿元,比上年增长了33.1％;今年又计划突破230亿元,比去年增长28.67％。这么高的发展速度甚至令亚洲“四小龙”大为逊色,请问叶市长,是什么促使东莞迅速走上工业化道路的呢?
