1958年,伴随着呼和浩特铁路局的成立,内蒙古自治区包头市铁路医院应运而生,承担起包头市驻区及呼和浩特铁路局驻包职工、家属的医疗、预防、康复、保健任务。2009年1月,包头铁路医院正式更名为包头市第八医院,同时保留包头市铁路医院名称。60年发展历程中,医院不断设立目标,并且一个目标接着一个目标实现。2014年7月,随着孙志刚出任院长,医院有了新的发展目标,那就是5年~8年建设成为三级甲等医院。
In 1958, with the establishment of the Hohhot Railway Bureau, Baotou City Railway Hospital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region came into being and assumed the tasks of medical treatment, prevention, rehabilitation, and health care for Baotou City Resident District and Hohhot Railway Bureau staff and their families. In January 2009, Baotou Railway Hospital was officially renamed the 8th Hospital of Baotou while retaining the name of the Baotou Railway Hospital. In the course of 60 years of development, hospitals have continuously established goals, and one goal has been followed by one goal. In July 2014, with Sun Zhigang as the dean, the hospital had a new development goal, which was to build a three-level A hospital in 5-8 years.
