阅读是人们获取信息的重要手段,更是英语学习的主要任务之一。小学英语教学的主要目的是培养学生学习英语的兴趣和初步的英语语感,使其形成正确的语音、语调,初步具备运用所学英语进行交际的能力。阅读作为语言学习的一个重要方面,既可以扩大学生的词汇量,又可以使学生在阅读过程中了解英美国家的文化背景、生活习俗、思维习惯及英语语言的特点。PEP小学英语在高年级课本中已经出现Let’s read,story time、绕口令等阅读材料,旨在培养学生的阅读能力。新课标明确提出要培养学生的观察、记忆、思维、想象能力和创新精神,帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异,拓宽视野,形成一定的综合语言运用能力。
Reading is an important means for people to obtain information, but also one of the main tasks of English learning. The primary purpose of primary English teaching is to cultivate students’ interest in learning English and their initial English language sense so as to form the correct pronunciation and intonation, and initially possess the ability to use the English to communicate. As an important aspect of language learning, reading can not only expand the vocabulary of students, but also enable students to understand the cultural backgrounds, living customs, thinking habits and English language characteristics of Anglo-American countries during reading. PEP Elementary English has appeared in senior school textbooks such as Let’s read, story time, tongue twisters and other reading materials designed to develop students’ reading ability. The new curriculum clearly proposed to develop students’ observation, memory, thinking, imagination and innovative spirit to help students understand the differences between the world and Chinese and Western cultures, broaden their horizons, the formation of a certain degree of comprehensive language proficiency.
