Magnetic earth current method (MT) has become one of the favored methods to aid in the imaging of earthquakes and underground basalt seismic data. This article from the Kach area, India (basalts in this area cover Mesozoic sediments). And discussed the possibility of using the MT method as an exploration tool for such geological background areas. Our results highlight the difference in magnetocaloric current response caused by invaded thin basalts. The key issue discussed in this article is what the MT method can or can not provide under such geological conditions. First, we calculated the apparent resistivity and phase response curves using a representative resistivity-depth model and well data from the study area. The comparative analysis of these results then evaluated the reasonable use of MT for the imaging of the igneous sediments in the Kachchh area Sex. Finally, one-dimensional inversion of the MT data of field observations in this area confirms our discussion.
