科学普及工作是开发智力资源,提高全民族科学文化水平的一项重大战略任务,也是学会工作的主要内容之一。为贯彻科学技术为国民经济建设服务的方针,进一步加强科普工作,中国物理学会于84年2月20日至24日在北京召开了第二次科普工作会议,来自24个省、市、自治区及8个分科学会(专业委员会)的代表85人参加了会议,会议由普及委员会付主任王殖东同志主持。中国科协主席、中国物理学会名誉理事长周培源,中国物理学会付秘书长沈克琦,中国物理学会名誉理事、普及委员会主任褚圣麟等领导同志参加了会议,并相继作了重要讲话。与会代表学习了国务院领导同志有关科技工作的讲话,受到很大启发与鼓舞。
