Beijing spectrometer (BES Ⅱ) vertex detector data acquisition system is part of the Beijing spectrometer data acquisition system, the subsystem uses fast bus standard electronics. This article describes the system hardware architecture and software systems, software including fast bus system microcode software and upper control software. The system’s dead time is 1.5ns. The contribution to the total dead time of BESII system is less than 0.5ms.
