Future Air Force missiles and aircraft may be made from a new type of material that has made the opposing radar system ineffective. One of these materials is a new synthetic Radiator Absorber (RAM) that is light in weight and good in heat resistance. The material was developed at the Avionics and Materials Research Institute led by the Air Force at Wright-Peltushter Air Force Base. In the new scheme, the plastic structure and the RAM synthesized materials can withstand higher working temperatures than the currently used RAM materials. Recent test records show that at a temperature of 400, 500 and 600 degrees Fahrenheit, Radiar absorption did not decrease after hours and maintained its structural strength.
