档案资源是我国宝贵的历史文化财富,是国家信息资源的重要组成部分,同时也是机关档案室存在和发展的关键所在,在促进机关工作开展,改进管理方式,建立行为规范,运转协调,公正透明,廉洁高效的行政管理体制等方面发挥着重要作用。档案安全是机关档案工作的重中之重,档案安全得不到保障,其他工作也无从谈起。加强机关档案室的安全防护工作,确保档案的完整、安全和高效提供利用,是《档案法》赋予机关档案部门的法律责任。
