人们都称世界著名男高音帕瓦罗蒂为“高音DO之王”(即Highc,指以钢琴键盘为标准的小字三组的C——C~3)。从这个定义来看,可说明帕瓦罗蒂声音方面的一个特点,也可以说他的十分明显,十分突出的特点就是:在高声区的声音十分容易得到。这种声音的确具有一定的权威性和相当的感染力。帕瓦罗蒂曾在唐尼采蒂的歌剧《军中女郎》中扮演托尼奥这一角色,演唱托尼奥的咏叹调的,他绝对是十分轻松、漂亮地唱完了九个HighC。另外两次他还曾与著名的女高音萨瑟兰德、伯沃雷·西尔斯分别演出贝里尼的歌剧《清教徒》时,他演唱了阿尔杜罗的咏叹调,其中非常高的音
