羁縻府州是唐代为安置周边内附民族而设置的一种行政区划,《新唐书·地理志》专辟一卷开列唐代各道羁縻府州的名目与统针数目①,昭示唐代羁縻府州规制,但是《新唐书》开列的羁縻府州名目与统计数目并不完备,多有缺略,即使散见于两唐书的部分府州也未予收入。刘统先生在《唐代羁縻府州研究》中“唐代羁縻府州考证”部分,根据相关文献对《新唐书·地理志》缺载的羁縻府州做了补录
The Jimi prefectures are an administrative division set up by the Tang Dynasty for the resettlement of the ethnic groups in the surrounding areas. The “New Tang Dynasty Geographical Records” is devoted to creating a list of the names and guidelines of the various prefectures in the Tang Dynasty. However, the names and statistics of the state of Jimi prefectures listed in “New Tang Dynasty” are not complete, and there are many shortages, even though some of the prefectures scattered throughout the two Tang dynasties have not received any income. Mr. Liu Tong made a supplement to the research on the state of Jimi Prefecture in the Tang Dynasty under the study of “Tang Dynasty Jimi Prefecture”
