改革开放以来,我国西部职业技术教育有了长足的发展,尤其是高等职业技术教育发展迅猛,为地方经济建设发展作出了突出贡献。但是,由于社会经济发展和产业结构调整的变化,西部职业技术教育的发展水平及其对国民收入增长的贡献,与中东部地区相比还有较大差距。因此,有必要认真分析西部地区职业技术教育在发展进程中存在的问题和面临的诸多挑战,掌握其发展的基本趋势,加大西部职业技术教育的改革力度,培养适应经济社会发展的高素质技能型人才特别是高技能型人才,最大限度地满足西部地区经济社会发展特别是建设社会主义现代新农村的需要。
Since the reform and opening up, there has been a great development in the vocational and technical education in western China. In particular, the development of higher vocational and technical education has been swift and violent, making outstanding contributions to the development and construction of local economy. However, due to the changes in social and economic development and the adjustment of industrial structure, the development level of western vocational and technical education and its contribution to the growth of national income are still far behind those in the central and eastern regions. Therefore, it is necessary to conscientiously analyze the problems and challenges faced by the development of TVET in the western region, master the basic trends of its development, intensify the reform of TVET in the West and cultivate high-quality skills that are suitable for the development of the economy and society Type talents, especially high-skilled personnel, to meet the needs of economic and social development in the western region, especially the building of a modern socialist new countryside.
