Low molecular weight proteins (LMWPs) have vector characteristics. After intravenous administration can rapidly accumulate in renal proximal tubule cells. The drug covalently binds to LMWPs to achieve the purpose of delivering drugs specifically to the kidneys, making the proximal tubule cells a drug-producing compartment where the released drug can have a local effect or enter the renal tubule. Lysozyme is a low molecular weight protein that is covalently attached 1: 1 to the naproxen, an anti-inflammatory drug, to form the nap-LYSO conjugate. Taking rat as experimental animal, pharmacokinetic studies on nap-LYSO and free naproxen and lysozyme were carried out.
