Most cerebral arterial bypass microsurgery is currently used to prevent stroke after a transient ischemic attack, but Dr. Osterholm of the Jefferson Medical School in the United States observed a significant improvement in 6 patients in a small group of patients after a stroke. After one carotid artery occlusion, one hand could not move. One year later, the superficial temporal artery was transplanted to the middle cerebral artery. After a few hours, the finger was able to move, finally, good hand function was restored. After some patients, some patients with aphasia improved, hand and face function recovery, or blind sense of light. He believes that some acute attack patients have a considerable amount of non-destructive, but less perfusion of “idiopathic” nerve cell populations, bypass the blood
