肝脏是机体重要的器官之一,至少承担着5000种以上的生理功能是其损伤后具有惊人的组织修复与代偿性增生能力即肝再生能力。正常状态下,人肝细胞的平均寿命为200天以上,每数万个肝细胞才见到一个核分裂,99.9%以上的肝细胞处于非增殖状态即G0期。但当肝脏受到损伤时,多数细胞迅速进入增殖状态,损伤的肝组织在短时间即可由再生肝代偿。这一过程主要表现为肝实质细胞、间质细胞及细胞外基质的增生
