From January 26 to January 28, 2012, the Ninth International Bilingualism Conference hosted by the Central University of Nationalities, the Royal Thai Chiang Rai University and the International Association of Bilingual Societies was held at the Royal Chiang Rai University in Thailand. The opening ceremony was moderated by Dr Sonrchai Mungtahisong (Ph.D.), Head of the Department of English of the Humanities School, Chiang Rai Royal University, Thailand.
