There are various prejudices against the important role played by women workers in the development of the social economy. They are influenced by various factors related to health in the workplace, among other things. In this regard, the special health needs of women are related first to their reproductive functions and it has been shown that certain occupational hazards are detrimental to this effect. Therefore, in order to ensure the health and safety of women workers, it is necessary to provide occupational health services in the workplace and at the national level, and to ensure that they meet their overall health needs.
